Every 4th stork in the world is Polish

Poles love storks and storks love Poland. Every fourth white stork in the world was born in Poland. This one too. Aleksander, whose farm he likes, named him Wojtek. This spring, Wojtek returned from Africa to the same nest again. And as every year, he proudly walks in front of the house, waiting for some tasty morsel. Besides, he has vast meadows, numerous ponds and small rivers nearby. That is what every stork likes. Some people joke that this beautiful bird should be included in the Polish national emblem. For now, however, it is the eagle that reigns supreme. (AS)

  Weisser Storch in Masuren Die Polen lieben die Störche und die Störche lieben Polen. Jeder vierte Weißstorch der Welt wurde in Polen geboren. Dieser hier auch. Aleksander, dessen Bauernhof er mag, nannte ihn Wojtek. In diesem Frühjahr kehrte Wojtek aus Afrika in dasselbe Nest zurück. Und wie jedes Jahr läuft er stolz vor dem Haus herum und wartet auf einen leckeren Happen. Außerdem hat er weite Wiesen, zahlreiche Teiche und kleine Bäche in der Nähe. Das ist es, was jeder Storch mag. Manche Leute scherzen, dass dieser schöne Vogel in das polnische Nationalwappen aufgenommen werden sollte. Im Moment ist es jedoch der Adler, der die Oberhand hat. Stara Warszawa na tle tej nowej To był pierwszy samochód osobowy produkowany w Polsce po II wojnie światowej.   Pierwsza Warszawa opuściła Fabrykę Samochodów Osobowych (FSO) na początku listopada 1951 roku i była niemal identyczna z radziecką Pobiedą M20. Z czasem, po wielu modernizacjach, samochód doczekał się kilku polskich wersji. Ale nawet w 1973 roku, gdy kończono produkcję Warszawy, prosta konstrukcja samochodu sprawiała, że nie sprawiał on wiele kłopotów.   Warszawa jest dziś ulubionym modelem kolekcjonerów, odnowione samochody wożą czasami młode pary do ślubu.
